Chuck and Roller Rotary Guide for EMP Fiber Lasers

Updated on Feb 27, 2025

Overview

In this guide, you will learn how to install and configure the basic settings for use of both a chuck style rotary and a roller style rotary with your EMP fiber laser.

Rotaries are designed to be used when trying to engrave cylindrical or rounded objects. The chuck mechanism grips the object securely at one end, similar to how a lathe works, allowing the laser to engrave around the entire surface as the object rotates. A roller mechanism allows the item to sit atop it, using friction to spin the item while it engraves. Items such as cups, glasses, bottles, or other similar objects can all be engraved on a rotary.
